With a passion and a quick wit, Bill Micklitz brings audiences everywhere to their feet. Parents praise him as a role model for others. Business leaders ask for him by name. Born with Arthrogryposis, Bill Micklitz has not let anything get in the way of his goals. With a bachelor’s in communication and a Master’s in Education, he creates a stunning mix of visual images along with a powerful message of abilities. Both entertaining and inspirational his abilities speak for themselves.

Keynote speech topics include:
- Tolerance = Diversity
- D.I.S.A.B.I.L.I.T.Y. – The motivation in a name
- Christianity and People with Disabilities
- Workplace Diversity
- Included in the Classroom
- Passion with Abilities
- And more
Each topic is created to meet curriculum guidelines or to satisfy employer requirements. “Tolerance” is the hotest topic to bring a better understanding of how to co-exist with your co-workers and peers even under the most intolerable situations.
Don’t see a topic that fits your needs? That’s ok. Bill Micklitz has worked with many businesses and organizations to taylor a program to their exact needs.
“While having a disability limits me, it has never stopped me from doing the things I want to do; only modify how I do them. Each day I wake up, I wake up with a positive attitude, because I can do more with a positive attitude than with a negative one.”
Disability Advocate
Not only does having a disability give me first hand knowledge of the subject, but I strive to do more with that. Over the years, I have worked with many organizations: United Cerebral Palsy in Oshkosh, WI; Big Brothers/Big Sisters in Oshkosh; The Young Artist Workshop. The newest way I have found to be an advocate has been by teaching. With a special education background, I can educate and motivate students with disabilities and I can also educate and motivate other students through interaction.
Public Awareness
What better way to share my knowledge than by talking to people. I am a keynote speaker and an award winning columnist using education, humor and positive energy to enlighten others.
And Other Things
You might catch me at a Packer game, a night out at the Performing Arts Center in Appleton, enjoying a good movie, reading a good book, swimming, camping, going to concerts, volunteering at Lifest, volunteering at the Humane Society, or working behind the scenes at church running lights for Sunday services and the 180 Teen Wednesday nights.
I also love helping others when I can, so I freelance in a few areas. You can see my portfolio here. Of course there is my award winning writing, also creating and designing websites, brochures, newsletters, videos and more. Just to name a few projects: Newsletter design and writing for United Cerebral Palsy of Winnebagoland; Directed and edited a training video for the Memorial Student Center at UW-Stout; a complete seed catalog; coupons for a local Subway store; a monthly flyer for a video store; and more.
