About

BillAward winning writer also stirs many in motivational speeches!

“Very educational, amusing, and lots of laughs.”

“Making a difference in this world.”

“Bill has drive and a tenacious attitude.”

“Helps us see things from a different viewpoint.”

“Contributing so very much to the community by your example of determination and one’s self worth.”

It’s the attitude of doing things,
not what you can do.
Hiring motivated people seems to be a daunting task. The harder task is keeping them. Do you need a speaker to help motivate innovation, inspire creativity, dispelling myths of diversity, increase sales by motivating the team, and more? Bring in a speaker with attitude and humor. This combination goes beyond just another speaker. Get the message to sink in by calling on Bill Micklitz.

“Bill is fantastic, bring him back!”

Audience reaction statements.
With a degree in Communication and a degree in Education plus hands-on experience in the workplace and schools, Bill Micklitz brings a clear message that is understandable by all. Bring the message you want in a manner they can understand.

Keynote speech topics include:
- Tolerance - It is possible
- D.I.S.A.B.I.L.I.T.Y. - The motivation in a name
- Christianity and People with Disabilities
- Workplace Diversity
- Included in the Classroom
- Society Unplugged
- And more
Each topic is created to meet curriculum guidelines or to satisfy employer requirements. “Tolerance” is the hotest topic to bring a better understanding of how to co-exist with your co-workers and peers even under the most intolerable situations.

Don’t see a topic that fits your needs? That’s ok. Bill Micklitz has worked with many businesses and organizations to taylor a program to their exact needs.

Background

I was born with arthrogryposis, a muscle and joint disorder. The best source of information I’ve found for arthrogryposis is the AMC Support Group. While having a disability limits me, it has never stopped me from doing the things I want to do; only modify how I do them. Each day I wake up, I wake up with a positive attitude, because I can do more with a positive than with a negative one.

Disability Advocate
Not only does having a disability give me first hand knowledge of the subject, but I strive to do more with that. Over the years, I have worked with many organizations: United Cerebral Palsy in Oshkosh, WI; Big Brothers/Big Sisters in Oshkosh; The Young Artist Workshop. The newest way I have found to be an advocate has been by teaching. With a special education background, I can educate and motivate students with disabilities and I can also educate and motivate other students through interaction.

Public Awareness
What better way to share my knowledge than by talking to people. I am a keynote speaker and an award winning columnist using education, humor and positive energy to enlighten others. More about that on another page.

And Other Things
You might catch me at a Packer game, a night out at the Weidner Center in Green Bay or the Performing Arts Center in Appleton, enjoying a good movie, reading a good book, swimming, camping, going to concerts, or working behind the scenes at church for the annual Dessert Theatre musical production.

I also love helping others when I can, so I freelance in a few areas. Of course there is my award winning writing, also creating and designing websites, brochures, newsletters, videos and more. Just to name a few projects: Newsletter design and writing for United Cerebral Palsy of Winnebagoland; Directed and edited a training video for the Memorial Student Center at UW-Stout; a complete seed catalog; coupons for a local Subway store; a monthly flyer for a video store; and more.
