Today interactive experiences are used everywhere. In classrooms, colleges, and training in business environments. Yet online interactive experiences have been around for a long time. IRC, Forums, and group have allowed many to communicate well before the virtual playgrounds available today. I used to meet others with arthrogryposis online from around the world. I wanted to learn about my unique possible abilities from others that have the shared experience.
So why not use a virtual reality platform that can give you sights and sounds to go along with learning. Second Life is just this type of environment. Disabilities Unlimited has now set up a virtual space. Our goal is to have a space people can come and share their experiences with others, learn about new ways to do things, experience different abilities, and once in a while just dance and party online. Today is one such day. From 2-4 SLT, which is Pacific time, we are having an open house party. You’ll be able to meet us and see the different areas made for learning and relaxing.
Tell your friends, pop into the virtual world of Second Life, and together we can put the community into our experiences.
…We will posting new events on this website as well as in Second Life. Meet and greets, discussions, speakers, and more.
