Sign To Understand

sign_languageWhen we think of language, English and all the spoken ones come to mind. When someone who is hearing impaired thinks of language one they think of if Sign Language.

I found a link while helping someone with resources that I wanted to share with everyone. The following website has great information and lessons on learning Sign Language.

You can also find some cool videos on YouTube that show some techniques and lessons on Sign Language as well.

Another place, if you are looking for local teachers of sign language, is checking with local churches or performing centers in your area. I know our church has at least two people who sign for some of our members.

If one avenue doesn’t work there are always others. I say this, because the person I was helping had said they tried the school for the deaf and because the person they were helping wasn’t deaf, they said they could not help. As a member of the human race, I pray we can all help each other. No need to pick and choose. Education is for all. Help were help is needed, please.
