Seasons Change

Another autumn, another milestone. It’s breathtaking the way trees can be so green for so long and then all of a sudden a chill comes over the air and colors change. Mother nature blows into town yet plants and trees quickly adapt to the changes.

People, well, we’re a little resistant to change. We get comfortable, like the green leaves, doing the same things every day. Change is something we should seek out instead of try to run from. It catches up with us anyway.

I look forward to fall every year, the colors, the changes, and adding another year of life. Each day, each year, gives me another opportunity to share the changes I make in my life. If you can believe it, when I was a teenager I took part in a 5 mile Hike to raise money. It was and still is the only time I ever went that far. I did it not only for the cause I was raising money for, but also with the support of my family.

It was hard to walk that distance. I stopped many times along the way, thinking this is it, I can’t make it any further. But I completed 5 miles. Today, it would be a different story. I’d find another way to raise the money in support. But that’s it, no matter how life changes, when you adapt to it, anything can happen. What are you doing with the changing seasons in your life?
